Chinese New Year Performance & Raffle! (We need your help!)

In General on January 24, 2010 at 12:55 pm

Dear CNSCS families and friends,

We only have two more school sessions before the Chinese New Year performance event on Sunday, 2/14/10. We are in need of your help in the following areas:

1. Volunteers for the CNSCS Chinese New Year Performance

Please consider volunteering with the Chinese New Year Performance event. We still need a lot of volunteers in the following areas:

a) Raffle Collection/Transport – 2 volunteers needed

· Assist with the raffle donation collection

· Assist with the storage/transport of raffle items to/from school and the event location

b) Stage Setup (Pre-show) – 3 volunteers needed

· Setup stage before the show (hang banners, props, etc.)

· Help program coordinator to move microphones, stands, chairs, etc.

c) Back Stage – Performance – 4 volunteers needed

· Help to setup any props before/after each program

· Curtain puller – prefer male, need a pair of thick glove to pull heavy curtain

d) Auditorium – 3 volunteers needed

· Call and bring each class/group to the staging area 15 minutes before scheduled performance time

e) After Show – 5 volunteers needed

· Auditorium – Check for lost and found items and clean up

· State – Clean up and take down banner and props

This is a great opportunity to participate with the children, become involved, and earn Service Points! Each assignment will earn 3 service points.

Please email me, at anthony_chang@earthlink.net, with the assignment you are interested in volunteering, your name, phone #, and email address.

2. Raffle Donations

We are again asking families to consider a donation of one item, valued at $10 or more.

** Families may also combine their donation efforts! **

For example, 10 families could join to donate a raffle prize worth $100 or more.

** One free raffle ticket will be given per donation and one Service Point to each family. **

Please bring your donations to school by January 31st to one of the collection table that will be setup in the hallway. Please tape your telephone number and name/names of all who are responsible for the donation to the item. This will help us determine who to give Service Points and a free Raffle ticket!

3. Raffle Tickets on Sale NOW!!

Raffle tickets will be on sale this Sunday for the price of $1 each ticket or 6 tickets for $5.

Thank you for supporting our students and CNSCS.
